About

I’m Allison Strickland and I’m a transdisciplinary, oracular artist whose work explores the intersection of spiritual receptivity and material making, revealing the inseparable dialogue between the seen and unseen.

I am a channel, and devoted to being in service to Spirit. Alongside my spiritual pursuits I have over 20 years experience as an interdisciplinary artist and creative. I’m well attuned to the constant death/rebirth cycles and sensibilities of making a creative (and intentionally, spiritual) life. I continue to find that my spiritual practice supports my art practice and that they really aren’t all that different. They each, in their own way, help to give me a practical understanding of psychospiritual motivation, human behavior, fear, desire, habit-patterns, and of course the deep pleasure of flow state.

My meditative abstract paintings draw from study and integration of esoteric and contemplative practices, color psychology, mysticism, and indigenous wisdom, offering an immersive experience of emotional and spiritual resonance. Continuing the lineage of both multi-dimensional mystic artists and traditional craftsmen.

My work is held in private collections both in the United States and internationally.

I currently live and work in Brooklyn, New York.
